First public build

Hello everybody, I just felt like I should share my first builds with you.

IMPORTANT:
1) Flash ROM on Stock HBOOT2) Flash Gapps (Full Gapps by Team PA)
3) Flash Settings FC fix
4) A2SD is pre-installed, activate in terminal via:

su
a2sd install
y
n
y

5) Fix Hybrid properties:

mount -o rw,remount /system
chown system:system /system/etc/paranoid/properties.conf

List of shame:
- Tethering stuff might not work completely
- Notification short-cuts
- Long-press Home
- Some more stuff, please leave feedback in the comments or in my PA support thread here :)

But some camera tearing is still there, open camera, go to recents and select the camera app again, it won't be there afterwards

I've done all the steps described above (full wipe before) but no Gapps are listed in the apps and no "new google account" is possible under accounts? What's wrong?

Same here gapps flashed but they are not in the system. I have tried gapps from December and had partial success. I got google account, gmail and weather but i also got gapps process stoped working and play store server error.

Nevermind, found it:

Step 1 - Go to Settings > About phone.
Step 2 - Scroll down to the bottom to “Build number.”
Step 3 - Tap “Build number” seven (7) times. Right after the third tap, you will see a dialogue box that says you are only four taps away from being a developer. Continue tapping four (4) more times.

Can you please do me a favor and try to flash again with the changed instructions?

I've flashed now again with the new instructions from your site (Gapps directly after flashing the rom and than the FC fix - without a reboot).
But it didn't help. no Gapps installed.

Then I've done a fresh full wipe. Flashed the Rom and the Gapps (without FC fix). Reboot: still no Gapps.

Would love to be able to customise dpi as per 2.54 again - launcher, apps at 184 look amazing :)

Why don't you do it them :D
Settings -> Tap on the "Eye" on the top left corner or swipe from the left to the right -> Apps

In a word: Lovely.

Feels slightly nicer than 2.50, and I love all the new little bits that AOSP 4.2 brings. Also, I can finally update apps from the market without it complaining that I'm out of free space.

Two little things:
1) Can I disable PIE? It's kinda redundant on a device with physical buttons and it's interfering with my normal use.
2) Is there a way of getting the notification toggles back, instead of (or as well as) the settings tiles?

I can't use wifi, it's just crashed when I turned it on, and never find any wifi around...

When I set my phone to stock view in hybrid properties it reverts just after a few seconds.. Flashing the Settings app made my Settings app disappear and the hybrid properties code doesn't help!

have the same problems with gapps. using your instructions but still no gapps. if you want we can talk in german to look what is going wrong. my german is much better than the englisch :)

YodaDaCoda: This will stay very close to AOSP so the quick - settings won't be replaced, but unlike the stock ones these aren't just shortcuts but in fact real toggles.

k1: WiFi works, try the latest build

Fzn: Read instructions / Flash latest build, you won't have to type additional commands

Uwe: To you all, read instructions /requirements :You're mit S-off probably. Either unlock bootloader or use instructions given in my second post @ xda

Auf deutsch: Voraussetzungen lesen, ohne s-OFF keine gapps, entweder S-OFF machen oder die Schritte machen, die im zweiten Beitrag in meinem Beitrag auf xda gegeben werden.
